Anahatha: The Art of Heart

Anahatha is the Sanskrit word for the heart chakra.

It is translated to mean something like “the unbeaten”, “the unbroken” or “the never-hurt”.

For while it can feel like our heart breaks sometimes, the truth is, those heartbreaks help us break free from our illusions about what life and love really is.

“Better to have loved and lost than never having loved at all”

When we fear heartbreak we invite cynicism. We shut our heart down to protect ourselves.

And while the spirit of the human heart is a delicate sensitive creature, it is un-breakable. All that breaks are our walls.

So. I invite you to more tender-heartedness, while approaching master-y and embodying the teacher/student archetype with a tough mind. Let them work together. Do your meditations to quiet the mind so you can listen to your heart.

I really recommend you do the yoga practices this month to help open strengthen your back and release tensions around yourself your heart.

In this first section we will cover the languages of love.

You are probably already familiar with the Five Love Languages (which dont have that much scientific basis, and was written by a man whos work may not be totally 'credible'), which is a perspective that has managed to get adopted by a lot of people.

What I thought could be of interest to you as a neurodivergent woman is the reframe into "Five Love Languages for Neurodivergents".

This has risen in response to the Five (Neurotypical?) Love Languages and it is an interesting comparison to consider.


Also, and perhaps most importantly, I would like you to compose your own set of Five Self Love Languages for how to communicate love to yourself.
